General Information
Athletes attending the 2013 State Games of America are responsible for their own lodging and meals. Athletes are urged to make room reservations early. Staying in Hershey / Harrisburg is easy. Visit the online housing bureau to make reservation Click Here!
All persons attending are responsible for transportation to and from their competition sites.
Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event at the State Games of America. Customized Medals may be purchased through Davis Trophies located at the PA Farm Show Complex.
INFORMATION / HOSPITALITY AREA
An Information/Hospitality Area will be located at the registration site. All Event Passes, Directions, and Souvenirs may be obtained at this location.
The State Games of America has a General Liability Policy for the Games. This insurance covers medical costs only when accident or injury is caused by our own negligence. It is expressly understood that this insurance does not cover property loss or damage to the participant or medical costs if an accident or injury occurs during the normal routine or competition or during travel to and from competition. EACH PARTICIPANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS/HER OWN MEDICAL INSURANCE.
PROTESTS
No protests on judgment calls or rules interpretations are allowed. Any disagreements must be resolved before continuation of play. The referee's decision is final. The only protests allowed are for ineligible players - an older division player participating in a younger division. A younger division player playing in an older division is not cause for protest. The Competition Committee is the final authority on all protests.
GENERAL ATHLETE REGISTRATION HOURS
General Athlete Registration will be held at PA Farm Show Complex, 2300 N Cameron Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110. All athletes, coaches, volunteers, and officials must register BEFORE COMPETING.
General Registration will be held during the following times:
Wednesday, July 31............................................... 5pm-7pm
Thursday, August 1............................................... 10am-12pm & 5pm-7pm
Friday, August 2.................................................... 9am-2pm
Saturday, August 3................................................. 9am-2pm
Sunday, August 4................................................... 9am-12noon
At registration each athlete, coach, and official will receive additional Finals information pertinent to State Games of America. Athletes will receive: athlete identification credentials, directions to venues, and other important information. Volunteers will receive volunteer shirt and identification credentials.
ATHLETE REGISTRATION EXCEPTIONS / EXTENSIONS
ALL ISI Registration will take place at the designated skating venue. **Extended hours on Tuesday July 30, 2013 from 3pm - 6pm for ISI Figure Skating Registration will take place at Twin Ponds West, 200 Lambs Gap Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050**
ALL U.S. Figure Skating Registration will take place at York City Ice Arena, 941 Vander Ave., York, PA, 17403 throughout the competition.
ALL Swimming Registration will take place at Central York High School, 601 Mundis Mill Road, York, PA 17406 thhroughout the competition. Coaches needing to register for 2013 SGA Swimming Coaches Credentials can do so on the swimming website
Extended Registration Hours for KSG Baseball, Field Hockey and Ice Hockey Athletes ONLYwill be Thursday August 1, 2013 from 7am-7pm at the Farm Show Complex **2013 KSG FINALIST LETTER** Hospitality, Souvenir Vendors, etc. may not be available during the extended hours for Registration.

- Door Admission (Adult & Student) $10.00 (Daily cost at door of competition)
- Two Day Pass (Adult & Student) $15.00 Will allow entrance into any and all sports that charge Daily Admission. Can be used any two days during the week of the Games. (The Two Day Pass will be stamped or hole-punched to validate each of the two days used.)
- The ALL Event Pass (Adult & Student) $20.00 Will allow entrance into any and all sporting events that charges admission (does not include Opening Ceremonies and non-sporting event programs) throughout the entire week of the Games.
- The Following Sports charge admission: Baseball (Medal Games), Basketball, Fencing, Field Hockey, Figure Skating, Gymnastics, Ice Hockey, Judo, Karate, Lacrosse, Powerlifting, Swimming, Taekwondo, Track & Field, Weightlifting, Wrestling Duals, and Wrestling
- Children 5 years of age and younger are FREE
- The Two Day Pass is available at the Hospitality Area during Registration and at some BUT NOT ALL locations that charge admission. Locations selling the Two-Day Admission Pass include the Hospitality Area at the Farm Show Complex, Swimming Venue - Central York High School, and U.S. Figure Skating Venue - York City Ice Arena.
Keystone State Games Medical Services will be headquartered at the PA Farm Show Complex,
2300 N Cameron Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110. There will be volunteer physicians, trainers, therapists and other medical personnel on duty during all times of competition. These people may be identified by their KSG Medical Staff shirts. All injuries or illnesses must be reported to the trainer or physician on site. First Aid will be administered on site. If an athlete requires further review or treatment, the athlete will be transported to a local flagship hospital. Final disposition of an athlete’s continued participation remains with the KSG Medical Staff. In the event of injury or illness requiring hospital treatment, expenses must be paid by the participant. The agreement and consent form previously signed by the participant and/or parent contains a medical treatment clause, which is important in case treatment is necessary.
Persons attending are asked to establish a telephone number at their hotel or competition venue and relay this information back home. The staff will be headquartered at PA Farm Show Complex for emergencies.
If the competition is held, as scheduled or rescheduled, there is no refund of the registration/finals fee. The option is the individual’s or team’s as to whether to compete or not. If the competition is cancelled by the Keystone State Games, and not rescheduled, and there is no opportunity for the individual or team to compete, then there may be a full or partial refund depending on the circumstances.
Have your medal personalized with engraving while you wait! Just bring your medal to the Registration Location and your medal may be custom engraved with up to 40 letters. A fee is required.
The 2013 State Games of America Official Souvenir T-Shirt will be available for sale prior to the finals and can be purchased through an online registration store. Apparel will be available for sale at the finals. There will be the SGA Sovenir T-Shirt vendor at the following locations: Farm Show Complex, York City Ice Arena, Twin Ponds East, Gymnastics, Field Hockey, Swimming, and Track & Field.

SGA pre-ordered programs will be available for pick-up during the scheduled general registration hours
SEATING FOR FARM SHOW COMPLEX SPORTS
Seating at the Farm Show Complex for the following sports: fencing, judo, karate, wrestling, wrestling duals, powerlifting, weightlifting, and taekwondo is extremely limited. Small folding chairs will be allowed into the venue. All spectators are encouraged to bring a small folding chair. Oversized chairs and lawn chairs will not be permitted.
