TUG OF WAR

EVENTS
Youth Boys
Youth Girls
Adult - may be co-ed but is not necessary

Teams consist of 6 individuals - this is a great way to participate with family, friends, schools, sport teams, co-workers, etc. (10 individuals may be on a roster. Once a tug has begun, substitutions will not be allowed.)

Age / Grade Divisions for Males and Females:

Youth Division: grades 4-6, grades 7-8, grades 9-12 (all grades as of upcoming 2015-2016 school year)

Open Division: 18 years and older

Entry Regulations
A player may not enter the same event in two different age divisions.

ELIGIBILITY:
  An athlete must meet the following  criteria:
 - Eligible athletes for annual Keystone State Summer Games & America's Finest Games
 - No Regional Qualifier / Tryout Needed 

Format
The competition will be a double elimination tournament if time permits - single elimnation if necessary

Sport Rules

1) Two yellow markers will be attached to each rope, each 5 ft from the center color
- coded pennant. These are the markers that will be used to determine winning teams.

2) Do NOT tie rope around arm or body under any circumstance.

3) There is no weight limit for team members.

4) NO SITTING DOWN allowed.

5) Officials will give the Start Signal by raising a flag after soliciting a verbal confirmation of “Ready” from
both team coaches.

6) Win by pulling opposing Team’s Pennant over mark or maintain the pennant advantage at the 45 second time limit.

7) If the teams are tied at the 45 the color - coded flag will remain in the middle (straight up) and teams will be told to “keep pulling” into overtime. The first team to gain a clear advantage will be the winner. The
“Flag Official” will bring down the flag on the side of the team that won or has the advantage

Match times to be determined based on entries received. 

SPORT FEE: $75 per team for both Youth and Adult Divisions

Cancellation Policy: If the competition is held, as scheduled or rescheduled, there is no refund of the registration/finals fee. The option is the individual’s or team’s as to whether to compete or not. If the competition is cancelled, and not rescheduled, and there is no opportunity for the individual or team to compete, then there may be a full or partial refund depending on the circumstances.

This policy is for all Keystone State Games and Premier Amateur Sports sporting events. Any person who wishes to apply for a refund must complete the following link below - refund considerations may require additional paperwork and will be reviewed after the completion of the competition.
